Our OHC booster clinic with Moderna vaccine on Friday, April 15 was a success. Members were pleased as were we. We have another clinic already scheduled and fully subscribed for this Friday, April 22.
Clinics in May
We are now announcing two further booster clinics (anyone over 50 or younger with enhanced risk per CDC guidelines) on Friday, May 6 and Friday, May 13. You can sign up on our website on the vaccine appointment scheduler as you have before. There are links on the home page.
If you feel you need to get a booster sooner and can’t get an open slot, please call the clinical office at (781) 684-0600 and talk to the staff. If there is substantial additional demand for any given Friday we can possibly expand that clinic. The constraint is that each vial of Moderna booster vaccine contains a maximum of 22 doses that are usable for under 24 hours. We should not be opening a vial just for 3 people, for example, and wasting the remainder.
Continuing clinics
We plan to offer Friday clinics with Moderna vaccine potentially through June if there is demand from our members to do so. Shots also remain available at many pharmacies, as you know.
Prevalence of the highly infectious current BA-2 strain of Covid-19 is increasing in Middlesex County. We are now moderate risk, no longer low risk. If eligible, you want a booster.
