Influenza vaccine for this season is now in supply in our office, both the standard vaccine as well as the high-dose form for members over 65. You want to be immunized. Influenza can be a serious and life-threatening infection with more risk as we age.
Immunization Before Thanksgiving
Immunization is preferably completed by Thanksgiving, since the influenza season may well start early December, though occasionally a bit later.
We will plan to give it to everyone at your next visit with us this fall. You may also call the office to come by at a mutually convenient time if you don’t have a fall visit scheduled or just want to get it over with.
Pharmacy Alternative
Should you get the flu vaccine at a pharmacy, please let us know by calling the office or emailing to nurse@orchardhealthcare.com so we can document it.
